Procedure Descriptions Are As Follows:
Tummy Tuck/Abdominoplasty
A "tummy tuck, or an abdominoplasty, can significantly enhance your appearance and self-confidence. The procedure involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall. This procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen, remove excess bulk, and recreate a waistline that has otherwise been stretched over time.
The best candidates for abdominoplasty are men or women who have a flabby abdomen. There are not only excess fatty deposits but also excess loose skin, even hanging skin. The surgery is particularly helpful to men and women who, through episodes of weight gain and loss or pregnancy, have stretched their abdominal muscles and skin beyond the point where they can return to normal. Also, loss of skin elasticity in older patients, which frequently occurs with the normal aging process, can be improved as well.
Liposuction/Body
Sculpting
Liposuction can help sculpt your body, restore a more shapely form, and improve your fit in clothes by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, such the abdomen, love handles, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. As we age, our metabolism changes, our body fat is redistributed, and stubborn fat pockets form that don't shrink with exercise. Liposuction is a safe and effective method that can reshape your body, and restore a healthier appearance that can match your inner health. In select patients, it can even be done as an office procedure.
Arm lift
A Brachioplasty, otherwise known as an arm life, is a surgical procedure to remove the loose skin and excess fat deposits collected in the upper arm usually performed under general anesthesia. For removal of large amounts of skin, an incision is required that runs from near the elbow to the armpit. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward the back), but some small scarring will remain visible. More moderate skin removal is often times possible with a smaller incision, limited to the armpit area, to try and keep the scar better hidden.
Pulse Light hair removal
Pulse light system works by emitting pulses of intense lamplight into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and is converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair. Traditional waxing and threading treatments, which pull hair from the skin, can be painful. Most people, however, find this treatment method much less uncomfortable.
fat grafting
Aging and scarring result in the loss of subcutaneous (skin) tissue, but this problem is amendable by replacing the damaged tissue with fat harvested from a different area of the body. A more permanent alternative to injectables and fillers, this procedure is used to enhance facial elements, such as frown lines or thin lips.
buttocks implants
Excess fat and loose skin in the buttock area can be reduced by performing a buttock lift in combination with lipoplasty (liposuction). An implant can also be added for increased contour to its shape. Incisions required for skin removal can often be hidden in the fold beneath the buttocks.
Lipolysis/Non-Surgical Fat Removal
Lipolysis consists of micro-injections offers a new non surgical cosmetic approach for reducing localized fat deposits of the face or body without surgery or downtime. Lipolysis is different from mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is injected into the skin and has no standard formulation. Lipolysis is completely standardized and the injections are placed directly into the subcutaneous fat. The goals of Lipolysis are both fat reduction and some retraction of the skin. The treatments can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes. However, patients need to come in early to apply topical anesthesia and wait about a half hour prior to treatment.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the use of laser energy to produce long-term hair reduction. This is accomplished by producing heat in the hair, which is transferred to the hair follicle, which in-turn produces inflammation, and this inflammation sends a signal to the hair follicle to go into the resting (telogen) phase. This action inhibits further growth.
Smart Lipo/Minimally Invasive Fat Removal
Smart Lipo is a laser treatment that targets stubborn body fat areas. Using a
laser surgery technique, a very small laser-tipped tube works under the skin by shining a laser directly at the fat cells to break them up in order that they may be more easily removed by tube. The procedure is under local anesthesia and has minimal downtime.
Breast Augmentation/mammaplasty
Breast augmentation can enhance your appearance, improve your self-confidence, and broaden your ability to wear different clothing fashions by changing the shape and size of your breasts to better match your body style. Also, breast augmentation is used to rebalance a voluptuous figure, correct lost volume resulting from age or pregnancies, and balance asymmetrical breasts.
Breast Reduction
Large, pendulous breasts may cause a woman to potentially experience various medical problems caused by the excessive weight of the breast tissue. Problems with posture, skeletal deformities, back and neck pain, skin irritations and nerve irritations of the fingers are common with this condition. Bra straps often leave indentations in the shoulder area. Many women, especially teenage girls, are very self-conscious if they have unusually large breasts. With breast reduction surgery, women of all ages are able to have breasts that are better shaped and in proportion.
Breast Lift/mastoplexy
Over time, the effects of gravity along with the loss of the skin's natural elasticity begins to have an effect on the appearance of a woman's breasts. These factors, combined with pregnancies and nursing will often cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape and firmness.
A breastlift, or mastoplexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple). Breast implants inserted in conjunction with a mastopexy procedure can increase both firmness and size.
Breast Reconstruction-Post Mastectomy
Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy. If you are thinking about having reconstructive surgery, it is a good idea to discuss it with your surgeon and a plastic surgeon experienced in breast reconstruction before your mastectomy. This allows the surgical teams to plan the treatment that is best for you, even if you decide to wait and have reconstructive surgery later.
Eyelid Surgery
Droopy upper eyelids and puffy bags under the eyes can make you look older and more tired than you feel. "Blepharoplasty" or eyelid surgery is the most commonly performed facial plastic surgical procedure. By removing small amounts of excess skin and fat one can transform the eyelid region to a more youthful and refreshed look. If you are wondering how eyelid surgery can improve your appearance, you need to know how the surgery is performed and what to expect.
The upper eyelid incision is hidden in the natural crease of the eyelid and is barely perceptible. Small amounts of skin, muscle and fat are removed to recreate a youthful eyelid crease and fold. Most lower eyelid incisions are made within the conjunctiva of the eye, thus preventing any scarring on the skin. Fine wrinkles can be addressed by laser resurfacing. The surgery usually takes around an hour, and many patients elect to have both the upper and lower eyelids addressed at the same time.
Brow Lift
A forehead lift or "browlift" is a procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed, and cheery look to the forehead, eye brows and upper eyelid areas. By removing excess skin and muscle, the procedure corrects drooping brows, improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make you look angry, sad or tired, and tightening the skin of the upper eyelid. The incisions are well hidden along the frontal hairline or in the hair, and with the us e of an endoscope (a small camera that allows the procedure to be performed with minimal incisions), the incisions are almost impossible to see. The particular type of incision to be used is dependent on your goals and desires. Also, a forehead lift is often performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) or a facelift to provide a smoother, overall balanced look to the eyes and face.
Face Lift
Aging of the face is inevitable, and with time the skin of the face and neck loosen. Age, sun exposure, gravity, and genetics all contribute to skin changes. Fine lines become wrinkles, and gradually deeper folds. The jaw line softens into jowls, and beneath the chin excess skin starts to sag. As the aging population grows, it is no wonder why facelifting has become the third most performed facial cosmetic procedure. If you ever wondered how a facelift or "Rhytidectomy" could improve your looks you need to know how it is performed and what to expect.
Forehead Lift
A brow lift, or "forehead lift", is a procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows by the weakened muscles and tissues that cause the furrowing. This area is altered to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows and minimize frown lines.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is performed to change the appearance of the nose to be more aesthetic and pleasing. Sometimes the hump is removed, usually the nose is thinned out at the tip and slightly elevated. It is usually necessary to narrow the nose at the time of surgery. A splint and packing are removed by the 5th day and most people are presentable in approximately a week to 10 days. If you have difficulty breathing, your insurance may pay for a portion of the procedure.
Botox, Sculptra, Collagen, Restylane
Botox is a is a purified protein, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause frown lines and is used for the temporary treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and other facial areas subject to creases.
Sculptra is a poly-l-lactic acid that acts as a sculpting agent to restore volume to correct the signs of facial fat loss that often occurs beneath the skin, which can result in sunken cheeks, indentations and hollow eyes. The results of sculptra injections are not permanent, and treatments must be repeated periodically to maintain results.
Collagen is an injectable protein that can be used to treat facial wrinkles. patients to be treated with collagen should first be tested for any allergic reaction. The results of collagen injections are not permanent, and treatments must be repeated periodically to maintain results.
Restylane is a biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin and produces a temporary, natural enhancement by smoothing wrinkles, filling creases and contouring lips.
Chin & Cheek Implants
Chin augmentation can strengthen the appearance of a receding chin by increasing its projection. the procedure does not affect the patient's bite or jaw. There are two techniques: one is performed through an incision inside the mouth and involves moving the chinbone, then wiring it into position; the other approach requires insertion of an implant through an incision inside the mouth, between the lower lip and the gum, or through an external incision underneath the chin.
The cheekbones may be built up by placing an implant over them. this is usually performed through an incision within the mouth, but it may be done through a lower eyelid or brow lift incision.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Lasers can be effectively used to eliminate surface blood vessels on the face that become reddened and enlarged due to sun exposure. The problem is most often seen in fair-skinned individuals, who burn or have difficulty tanning easily. The use of lasers for skin resurfacing is effective in reducing the effects of sun damage. Laser resurfacing is an alternative to chemical peel for some patients.
Otoplasty/Ear Pinning
Large or prominent ears are often referred to as protruding ears and often people with this condition wait until adulthood to undergo operation. This surgical procedure pins back the ears, in order to make them appear less prominent. This operation is also referred to as pinnaplasty.
Lip augmentation
A permanent method of augmenting the lips is accomplished by surgically advancing the lip forward, with incisions placed inside the mouth. A dermal-fat graft, taken from the deeper layers of the skin, may then be positioned under the mucosa (the lining of the lip) to add additional "plumpness." Injecting fat collagen or other substances for lip augmentation is another alternative. The correction is not permanent, and injections must be repeated periodically to maintain results.
Lip Lift
A technique that surgically lifts the corners of the aging mouth can eliminate the pronounced droop and unhappy facial expression that often develops with advanced age. By cutting away small diamonds of skin just above the corners of the mouth, the vermilion (border of the lips) is raised into a slight smile.
Lip Reduction
To reduce the lips, a small strip of the mucosa (the lining of the lip) is surgically removed to narrow the lips to the desired proportion. The small scars on the outside of the lips are barely noticeable.
